Ste. Anne's Church Fundraiser, Mixed Golf Tourney Results Reported

Twenty-seven golfers participated in Ste. Anne's Church fundraiser at Wawashkamo Golf Course Sunday, June 28, with first place in the scramble tournament going to the team of Brian Lents, Justin Lents and Michael Gamble, with a score of 30. The second place team, with a score of 31, consisted of Steve Moskwa, Rockwell Williams, Dan March, and Jaret Yatch.

In the games on the course, the closest to the pin for men at hole four was Justin Lents and closest to the pin for women at hole eight was Mary Ann Gale. The longest drive for men at hole five was Michael Gamble and the longest drive for women at hole six was Elizabeth Chambers. The longest putt for men at hole nine was John Chambers and the longest put at hole nine for women was Margaret Doud.

The tournament was followed by a cookout sponsored by Steven and Patti Ann Moskwa from the Yankee Rebel.

Scramble Results

The Wawashkamo Golf Course mixed member tournament on the back nine had 42 participants Wednesday, June 24, and was followed by a cookout in the picnic area.

Taking first place were John Manikoff, Jack Dehring, and Debra Orr. Second place went to Sean Preston, Sean O'Dell, Toots Gillespie, and Kelly Rayment, third place was won by Les Parrish, Tony Spata, Brenda Bunker, and Betty BeDour, and four place was taken by Bob Andress, Lee Finkel, Janet Stingel, and Loretta Spata.

Closest to pin on hole 13 was Bill Chambers and on hole 17 was Janet Stingel. Closest to the pin in three shots on hole 14 were Jay Stingel, Rusty Preston, Carole Erbel, and Kay Berke. The longest putt on hole 18 was made by John Manikoff.
