Win-Some Women Retreats Planned on Island in May

Registration is underway for the 2010 Win-Some Women Spring Retreat at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. There are three sessions available. The first takes place Tuesday, May 18, and Wednesday, May 19. The second takes place Wednesday, May 19, and Thursday, May 20. The third is Thursday, May 20, and Friday, May 21. This year registration is online only at www.win-somewomen. org.

Keynote speaker will be Rebecca Pippert and music will be provided by Michael Card. Ms. Pippert is the author of nine books that include “Out of the Salt Shaker.” She has spoken extensively to churches throughout North America and has given conferences in Latin America, Southeast and Central Asia, India, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. For two years she was a monthly columnist for the Christian Korean magazine Salt and Light, and she is an advisory board member for the Billy Graham Center in Wheaton, Illinois. She and her husband reside in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr. Card’s career has spanned 25 years and he has recorded more than 20 albums, written or co-authored 14 books, hosted two radio programs, and written for a numerous magazines.

Joining Ms. Pippert and Mr. Card will be breakout speakers Gary Smalley and Toby Jones.

Mr. Smalley is an author and speaker on family relationships. His book, “The Language of Love,” has sold more than six million copies. He and his wife, Norma, married for 39 years, live in Branson, Missouri.

Harbor Springs resident Toby Jones is a Princetontrained theologian, and has been performing rock music professionally for more than 30 years. He has written two books, “The Gospel According to Rock,” and his second book, “The Way of Jesus: Reforming Christian Communities in a Post-Church Age,” will be released in April.
