Air Force Woodwind Quintet To Perform


The Midwest Winds woodwind quintet is an ambassador of the Air Force Band of Mid-America. The performance will be held at Ste. Anne Catholic Church Sunday, June 10, at 2 p.m. Performing will be (from left) Master Sergeant Peter Dahlstrom, Staff Sergeant Joseph Philpott, Staff Sergeant Sara Garing, Staff Sergeant Rachel Maclary, and Senior Airman Ryan Missel. Not pictured is Technical Sergeant Chantelle Friedman. The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America’s Midwest Winds will present a concert at Ste. Anne Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10. There’s no admission charge for the family-oriented event.

The woodwind quintet is an ambassador of the Air Force Band of Mid-America. It presents public concerts and educational events. From Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, the ensemble travels across a 10-state region of the Midwest to honor veterans and active-duty military members.

The group performs a wide range of musical pieces, including classical, contemporary, marches, patriotic crowd pleasers, and light popular music.
