The program will include the interpretive staff of Colonial Michilimackinac, historical interpreters from Old Fort Niagara, and volunteer living historians from the Lieutenant Colonel’s Company of the 8th Regiment.

The weekend of activities is billed as Soldiers of the King: The British Garrison of Michilimackinac.

“It should be an exciting time for both our visitors and our staff, as it’s an opportunity to work with other museum professionals and living historians,” said Craig Wilson, museum historian for Mackinac State Historic Parks.

Three reenactment groups will be combined for a special presentation depicting the British garrison at Fort Michilimackinac before the American Revolution.
